So, at the top of this pretty little blog I've set up there is talk of a "gap year". My life is definitely NOT a gap year.
Around two long months ago I started working for a bank. Namely, the Royal Bank of Scotland. Pretty swish, hey? For a girl with 3 barely there A-Levels and very little drive in her, I think I've done tremendously well. I've now embarked on a ridiculously stressful career within a bank and whilst I love it, it really is exhausting. For example, I'm currently on a day off after waking up blind in one eye from a migraine. Clearly, the best thing to do in this situation was to get myself back in front of a computer screen, Big Mac in hand, and write my very first blog post.
I'm sure you're wondering why on earth I'm bothering, since if you're reading this I imagine you're the only one. No one knows I'm doing this, no one cares that I'm doing this and quite frankly I'm just trying to add some productivity to my day since I've sat reading about bank accounts for hours and it's just aggravating my brain-ache. Oy vey. But I've been reading the blogs of the Greats: Sprinkle of Glitter and Zoella being my ultimate faveys, and it's inspired me. It inspired me about six months ago, which is when I wrote a ridiculously lengthy Benefit review before my computer crashed and the lot was lost. Sigh. Since then I've got a proper job, chopped all my hair off, put on a bit more unnecessary weight and splurged all of my wages away within the first two weeks on a Labrador called Daisy, a Vivienne Westwood bag and a fur coat. Working life is sweet.
This blog was started with the idea of becoming an extension of my Youtube channel, which I'd decided was beauty and fashion related. That, too, has failed miserably. Both Youtube and my blog have become a bit of a "Day in the Life of Me!" situation and right now, I'm perfectly happy to keep it that way. I waste my money on clothes and makeup still so I'll try and keep those involved every now and then, but this is to primarily humiliate myself by telling others about my drastic failures in life, ramble on about things that nobody honestly cares about and to hopefully encourage me to lose a bit of weight; to think I need to walk, or run, or just not be sat in front of a computer and so hopefully I'll be walking a whole lot more. All for you beautiful bloggers, you lucky devils. Saying that, I am currently chomping on a McDonalds so we're not doing too well so far. Whoops!
Anywho, I must be off to run with my Daisy and wonder what to write about next. Hopefully it won't be as rambly as this one but no promises! Be sure to check out my Youtube page for more frequent updates and I'll try and keep the two linked as much as possible. I am proactive!
check me out here!
See you all there!
